Before the Avengers Series and Avatar, Titanic was previously the top-grossing film of all time. The movie was released in 1997 which starred a young Leonardo di Caprio as Jack Dawson, an artist who won a ticket to ride the huge ship, and Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater, a young girl who was with her fiancé Cal Hockley, played by Billy Zane. The movie earned a total of $2.187 billion in its theatrical release along with its re-release in 2002 and 2007. If you are not aware yet, the song “My Heart Will Go On” sung by Celine Dion is the official soundtrack of this movie.

A Walk to Remember

This has a smaller budget compared to Titanic but it is still one of the best romantic movies of all time – not to mention reviews from internationale datingsites. Starring Mandy Moore and Shane West, this movie is a story of a young woman who was about to die and the man wanted to give her everything that she dreamed of before time runs out. The movie is such as a sweet nod to the movies of yesteryears- simple, bring tears to the eyes, and a good end. Bring your tissues because you will not stop crying over his one.

Pretty Woman

Pretty Woman is the movie that launched the career of Julia Roberts. A prostitute in the movie, Roberts played one of the most iconic roles in romantic movie history. We can all still relate to the store scene wherein she was mocked for looking like she did not have money to pay for clothes. Fortunately, none of the people treated me that way while I am on my Amsterdam sightseeing boat holiday tour.

Where are the movies of old? How about Gone with the Wind or The Breakfast Club? These are iconic movies who have shaped pop culture up until today. You can never go wrong with the romantic movies of the 80s and earlier. “When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle” are also good ones.

I think you will need two to four weekends to binge-watch the best romantic movies of all time. Names like Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, and Rachel McAdams are all associated with good romantic movies. I would suggest categorizing them based on celebrities that you like the most.

I can still think of more movies that you should watch. Ten things I Hate About You, 50 First Dates, The Breakfast Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Two Weeks Notice, and others. You will never run out of romantic movies to watch in Hollywood. You just have to know where to look.

It is not a film without controversy: After all, it involves Alyssa Jones (Joey Lauren Adams), a lesbian, falling for Holden McNeil (Ben Affleck). But try not to hold that against it. As Alyssa struggles with her confusing feelings for a man, Holden tries to hold on to the complicated woman he s fallen in love with.
